The Austrian Marco Schwarz won the Schladming slalom on Tuesday evening, counting for the Men's World Cup, ahead of two Frenchmen, Clément Noël and Alexis Pinturault, and escaped in the lead of the race for the small globe of the specialty.
Schwarz had only finished sixth in the first heat, which allowed him to pass before his compatriot Manuel Feller, best time on the first circuit, while visibility was still good.

It began to decline very quickly, the snow falling harder and harder, from the passage of Christmas.
This allowed Schwarz to win his second slalom of the winter and climb to his sixth podium in seven slaloms this winter.
The Austrian will arrive in Chamonix for next week's two slaloms with a comfortable lead (over 130 points) in the World Cup slalom standings.
Good deal for Pinturault
Pinturault had only been able to set the 11th fastest time in the first heat but made up for it well in the second.
He is still making a good deal by scoring plenty of points in the race for the big crystal globe, his main goal this season.
The last time two French people were on the podium in slalom was in 2009, Jean-Baptiste Grange and Julien Lizeroux.
Grange finished in the Top 10 on Tuesday and Lizeroux, narrowly eliminated after the first round, retired from sport after this slalom.
