A day before the season game against Maccabi Haifa, in Kiryat Shalom this morning (Tuesday) they announced a fresh professional team, who will travel this season to Patrick Van Levon at Maccabi Tel Aviv. These are Breiner Robmond (48) and Dennis Gantnar (45), who were appointed Maccabi's assistant coach and goalkeepers today Tel Aviv respectively.
Coach Patrick Van Leven told the official website: "I am delighted that Rainer and Dennis have joined the existing professional team. They have the experience and abilities as coaches to help us achieve our goals this season."
Rainier Robmond, is an experienced coach who has played and coached throughout his professional career in the Netherlands when he was most recently Mark Van Bommel's assistant at PSV Eindhoven in the 2018-2019 seasons.
He began his coaching career immediately after retiring from active play in 2009 when he joined Alkmaar's youth department where he worked for 5 seasons.
Robmond made his first steps in football in the youth departments of Dordrecht and Feyenoord before making his senior debut in 1990 in his hometown team.
After six seasons at Dordrecht (1990-96) he moved to FC Utrecht (1996-2001) before joining EZ Alkmaar (2001-2004).
In 2005, Robmond moved to De Harpschap, where he ended his playing career in 2009 with 29 goals and 412 appearances in total.
Dennis Gantnar worked last season in the UAE as the goalkeeping coach of the Al Wahda team from Abu Dhabi under coaches Maurice Stein, Manolo Jimenez, and Mark Vata.
In the past, Gantnar has coached in the youth departments of Ajax Amsterdam, and AFC Amsterdam.
He started his playing career as a goalkeeper at NK Neimchen, moved to Germany to Borussia Dortmund, returned to the Netherlands and played for Ajax Amsterdam, VIV Venlo, Elmeier City and returned to NK Neimchen where he retired at the end of the 2013/14 season.
