In a big interview with the Argentinian newspaper La Nacion, Gabriel Heinze talks about his coaching career, which has brought him since Monday, January 25 on the bench of Atlanta United in the American championship.
The former PSG defender (2001-2004) was notably questioned about his Parisian stage and his former teammates, such as Mikel Arteta or Mauricio Pochettino, new coach of the capital club.

“And the great Mr. Luis Fernandez as a trainer…”, Heinze smiles first before mentioning the appointment of Pochettino.
“What Mauricio has done has placed him on the list of the best coaches in the world,” said his former teammate.
And, now, here he is in one of the best clubs on the planet and if he was not at PSG, another big club would have recruited him.
He has already moved to Paris with a good career as a player.
Now all that remains is to observe and learn ”.

Heinze was also asked about the future of Lionel Messi, another of his compatriots, at the end of his contract at Barça in six months.
“No one will take away from him what he has achieved.
For the rest, he must do what he wants to do, says Heinze.
