A victory, and quite a symbol.

The French Tessa Worley (31) won her 14th Alpine Skiing World Cup victory, her first on the world circuit since October 2018, on the giant slalom at Kronplatz (Italy).

The double world champion in the specialty (2013, 2017) took the opportunity to give a special nod to Julien Lizeroux, her companion, who will end his career this Tuesday evening after the slalom in Schladming, in Austria.

"Bravo darling", launched the number 1 bib live after the race, while sending a kiss to his lover.

“I am really happy with this race,” she added.

It gradually gained momentum.

I knew I was able to do a big round from Kranjska Gora (Editor's note: where she took 2nd place on January 16).

We also had to manage to make a solid first round.

It hasn't been that yet!

I am very happy with this reaction during the second, where we also had to have great confidence and take all the risks.

Second overall

Fifth at the end of the first round, Tessa Worley, for whom it is the third podium of the season, edged the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami by 0''27 and the Italian Marta Bassino, 3rd at 0''73 '.

After six events (out of eight), the Haut-Savoyarde climbs, with 336 points, to second place in the provisional classification of the Giant Slalom World Cup, dominated by Bassino (460 points).

A good omen ahead of this Sunday's race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) and the February 18 event at the World Championships, which will take place in Cortina d'Ampezzo, still in Italy.
