The event, canceled last summer due to Covid-19 when 3,000 people had registered, should be held at the beginning of the summer in

After the announcement of the reprogramming of the Paris half-marathon and marathon in the fall of 2021, the race organizer, the company ASO, has just announced the date of the Paris triathlon on Wednesday.

It will be next June 27 in the streets of the capital and registrations open immediately.

For all the amateur sportsmen of the region besides in lack of competition, the prospect of a race before the summer could constitute a new objective and a new horizon while all the collective events are currently canceled because of pandemic.

Insofar as the health situation calls for caution, the organizers are careful to announce that registrants will be fully reimbursed for their registration fee if it is impossible to organize the race.

Same route as the 2019 triathlon

Regarding the route, it should repeat the one adopted during the last Paris triathlon organized in 2019. Namely a bicycle park and a transition site installed at Parc de la Villette.

Swimming in the Seine, as it will undoubtedly be the case for the Olympic race organized in 2024 at the Paris Games, will not be for this year yet!

Swimming will take place in the Bassin de la Villette.

Note that for reasons of fluidity, the Sprint (500m) and M (1.5 km) swimming courses will be separated.

For the proposed race formats, two will be on the menu.

A short distance known as S (500 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km on foot) and an Olympic M event (1500 m, 40 km and 10 km).

For longer distances, the cycle route will offer you to explore the capital's emblematic places (Place de la Bastille, Louvre museum, Eiffel Tower and Bois de Boulogne) as in 2019.

Prices are decreasing and start at 65 euros for the S format and 95 euros for the M for immediate registration.

These prices rise respectively to 75 and 110 euros thereafter.

Note that relays are possible for the Olympic distance (115 euros then 135 euros), each runner covering only one specific event.
