Italian football is bloodless.
Half of Serie A and Serie B clubs have delays in paying player salaries because of the pandemic.
An article from Corriere dello Sport, explains that the most affected are Inter Milan, the current runners-up of AC Milan in the standings, who have not yet honored the salaries of the months of July and August and requested an additional deadline which it was refused by Gabriele Gravina, the president of the transalpine federation.
The 20 Serie A clubs have requested, in vain, an extension of the deadline of February 16 for the payment of salaries for November and December.
However, these salaries are already exempt from employer contributions.
Gabriele Gravina does not want a new deadline because half of the clubs, unlike Inter Milan, manage to pay salaries.
This is particularly the case of Sampdoria in Genoa, current 10th, which has already paid the salaries for October and indicated that on January 29, it will pay those for November and December.

For the moment, the federation refers the clubs to individual agreements with their players.
Regarding Inter Milan, everything indicates that if it will have to quickly pay the emoluments of July and August, it could obtain a new deadline, from its players for the continuation of the payments.
But the Italian situation, when the best clubs in the country are shaking the specter of a European Superleague, is catastrophic.
"So far, the damage caused by the pandemic is around 700 million, said Luigi De Siervo, the general manager of the A Series. But if the stadiums continued to remain closed, they would exceed 1.2 billion!
