King's Cup summary: Barcelona come back from behind and beat Rayo Vallecano 1: 2 (Sport 1)

In Paris Saint-Germain continue to take seriously and openly the possibility that Lionel Messi will join the team in the summer.

Last night (Thursday), the flea's compatriot Angel Di Maria was interviewed in Argentina, claiming that "there is a good chance that Leo will play in Paris next season."

If that happens, he intends to do everything to stay in the team, even though his contract is coming to an end.

"I always dreamed of playing with Leo Messi on the same team. We played together on the team, but playing alongside him on a daily basis, training with him for a whole year, seeing this phenomenon up close - it's a dream I have not fulfilled until now," he told TYC Sport.

"I had opportunities in the past to play for Barcelona and play with him, but unfortunately it did not materialize. Now it seems I have another chance to do it, but my contract at PSG is coming to an end."

Di Maria said he consulted with his wife about his future and received clarification from her: "She told me, 'If Leo comes, you stay in the group even if it's to be the man who prepares the barbecue for him.' I tend to agree with her," he said with a smile.

"It could be a dream come true. As a footballer, you can't ask for more than that. I got to play on the same team with Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Ambape ... but after I play with Messi, I can retire quietly."

Di Maria's statements join a host of public statements by PSG officials regarding Messi's future, whose contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the season, and from the beginning of January he is allowed to negotiate with other teams.

PSG's public outcry over the possibility of Messi joining is causing outrage in Barcelona.

Leading presidential candidate Joan Laporta has even stated that he intends to sue PSG at UEFA institutions following the "disrespect" she shows towards Barça, when she openly talks about the possibility of signing a player who still plays for her.
