day

.
As a
ski racer
, she was particularly successful in
slalom
.
Her enthusiasm for sport runs in the family: father Peter Dürr was also a ski racer and sister Katharina took the same path.
Even as a child, Lena Dürr was strongly encouraged in this discipline by her father.
Thanks to his position as head coach of SV-Germering, for which the sportswoman competes, the club and family have always formed a unit for her.
In December 2006 Dürr took part in an
FIS race
for the first time and only two years later she made her first appearance in the
European Cup
.
She completed the
slaloms
and promptly made it to ninth place.
She topped this result the next day and narrowly missed the podium.
In the same year, the ski racer celebrated her debut in the
World Cup
.
In the first run, however, she only landed on the penultimate place and was eliminated.
The ski racer was successful in the European Cup and was, among other things, German champion
But better results followed.
The
World Championship
of Juniors 2008 closed
Lena Dürr
among other things, with a ninth place in the
slalom
from.
The 2008/2009 European Cup season followed and the sportswoman made it into
the top five places
in two slaloms and two
Super-Gs
.
In the Schruns slalom, she even managed to land on the podium for the first time.
All of this brought her ninth place in the overall standings, fourth place in the slalom and sixth place in the Super G classification.
The
ski racer
celebrated her greatest sporting successes to date in
2009 when she became
German champion
and runner-up in the
Super-G
in the downhill
.
The next highlight of her career was not long in coming.
In the 2009/2010 European Cup season she won the
Kvitfjell
Giant Slalom
and thus achieved her first victory.
She also won the giant slalom in Soldeu.
These two first places paired with further podium places brought her first place in the
overall European Cup standings
.

In 2013, the customs officer, who has been part of the customs ski team of the Federal Customs Administration since 2011, won her first World Cup medal.
In the team competition in Schladming, she came in third.
This season she achieved the following placements, among others:
Tenth place in the Combination World Cup
Eleventh place at the Slalom World Cup
24th place in the overall World Cup
33rd place in the Super G World Cup
Lena Dürr
did not
qualify for the 2014 Olympic Games
.
But in 2018 the time had come and the
ski racer
traveled to Pyeongchang to take part in the
slalom
.
Among other things, she was helped by three top 15 placements at the
World Cup
.
This was followed by her title as
German
slalom
champion
in March 2019. In January 2021, Lena Dürr faced the slalom at the World Cup on the Bärenberg near Zagreb.
With her eighth place, the athlete secured her first top ten placement in over a year.
