The EC Peiting put in a strong performance at the Höchstadter EC on Friday evening and caught up several times behind.

In the end, however, there was disappointment - despite winning a point.

Höchstadt - Daniel Reichert was pissed off.

The striker from Peitingen thundered his racket on his own goal.

Höchstadts had just met Anton Seewald in overtime (62nd) and thus sealed the 4-5 defeat of the ECP.

The annoyance of Reicher was understandable, because the Upper Bavarians had shown a strong performance in the strong home and recently from victory to victory.

In the middle third, the Peitinger, who had come without striker Ty Morris and goalkeeper Florian Hechenrieder, dominated the action.

In view of her fighting spirit, two points would have been well deserved.

The one counter was worth all honors.

The EC Peiting started the league game briskly and had several good chances thanks to Reichert, Martin Mazanec and Maximilian Hüsken.

ECP goalkeeper Elias Fischbacher thwarted the best Höchstadter opportunity with a good save (10th).

Ironically, the guests made a mistake in power play: Thomas Heger and Lukas Gohlke acted too indecisively, Jari Neugebauer grabbed the puck and scored 1-0 (12th).

In the second Peitinger power play, Höchstadt also had a dangerous break (15th).

EC Peiting dominates in the middle third

In the middle section Peiting seized the helm with a lot of effort and high speed.

The guests, driven by the tireless Nardo Nagtzaam, often settled in the attack zone.

In excess, the deserved equalization: Nagtzaam had hit with a full shot (26th).

Dennis Neal (28th) and Simon Maier, who played his 450th league game, each just missed another goal.

From Höchstadt there was hardly anything to be seen offensive in this phase.

And yet Niklas Jentsch scored the 2: 1 (34th) - with a flick of the brand "Auf gut Glück".

The ECP continued to pressure, but was unsuccessful with the opportunities offered by Manuel Bartsch and Simon Maier.

Aziz Ehliz finally caused cheers on the guest bench.

From an acute angle he shot to make it 2-2 (37th);

EHC goalkeeper Benjamin Dirksen looked unhappy.

The final third began with a cold shower for Upper Bavaria: Höchstadt's Anton Seewald came free to the puck in front of the goal and used this chance to make it 3-2 (41st) ice cold.

Peiting was not discouraged and had various options.

From the 46th minute, the guests gave themselves penalty times in quick succession.

Only three Peitingers stood on the ice for a long time.

When the ECP was back to four, Höchstadt scored 4-2 (49th) through Seewald.

The decision?

Not at all.

In the majority, Heger shortened to 3: 4 (57th).

2:20 minutes before the end, ECP trainer Sebastian Buchwieser took the keeper off the ice for a field player.

Mazanec scored with a shot from distance 31 seconds before the end to make it 4: 4.

The happy ending for the ECP did not materialize.
