Reason for concern in Boston.

Boston (8:10) - LA Lakers (6:15) 96:95

The encounter between the two historic rivals provided a good old-fashioned thriller, with tough defenses, a low score and a dramatic finish.

The Celtics had to make do without Marcus Smart who was injured at the start of the last quarter and is suffering from a stretch in the market, but without him they saw the champion record dominant minutes that almost spoiled with a series of bad decisions in money time.

The Lakers already led 89-96 minutes and a half to the end, but saw Jason Taitum and Kamba Walker bite the difference.

Anthony Davis' Lomieli loss nearly cost the Lakers a game, but Walker missed the final offense, and Daniel Theis missed the buzzer after an offensive rebound.

Davis who was in doubt for the game finished as the Lakers' leading scorer with 27 alongside 14 rebounds, LeBron James added 21, 7 and 7, which was enough to win after two straight losses.

The Celtics have received 30 and 9 rebounds from Jason Taitum and 28 from Jaylen Brown, but have suffered a fifth loss in the last seven games, and remain worried following Smart's injury.

Chicago (11: 7) - Portland (8:16) 123: 122

Another show by Damien Lillard, and another wonderful basket of victory.

The Blazers star once again proved how much a winner he is, burying two crucial threes in the last 9 seconds including a hard three on the buzzer, while falling backwards, after a mid-ball rolled into his hands.

The winning basket sealed an evening of 44 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds for Lillard, aided by Anse Canter's 22 and 11 rebounds.

Laurie Markanen (31 points), Zack Lavine (26) and Kobe White (20) gave up a fight and brought the Bulls back from minus 18 in the second half, but did not prevent a third straight loss.

What a winner.

Charlotte (11: 9) - Milwaukee (8:11) 114: 126

Lamello Bull wants a place in Charlotte's quintet, and tonight he proved he deserves it, with his best game in his short NBA career.

The rookie in question saw first quarterback Terry Rogers injured, and took matters into his own hands as he finished with a season-high 27 points along with 9 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, leading the Hornets alongside Gordon Hayward (27) to victory.

For the Bucks this is another worrying game, in which Yannis Antocompo once again reaches impressive numbers (34 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists) and loses again.
