Atletico Madrid on the safe path to the championship, and that someone will try to stop it.
The Colcheneros tonight (Sunday) defeated Cadiz 2: 4 and raised their balance to 50 points after 19 rounds, a rate of 100 points per season.
Stunning.
The game opened with Luis Suarez's 13th goal of the season in a fantastic free kick in the 28th minute.
Albero Negredo equalized after 7 minutes, but Saul made sure to regain the lead before the half-time whistle, in the 44th minute.
Five minutes into the second half, Suarez completed a double from the penalty spot, with his 14th goal of the season and he opens a gap at the top of the league's top scorer table in hopes of winning the Pichichi title.
In the 71st minute they were scratched and also completed a double, when it shrank to 2: 3, but the last word belonged to Coca, who scored in the 88th minute the first league goal of the season and set 2: 4 at the end.
Since the loss in the derby, Atletico have recorded eight consecutive league victories and after seeing Real Madrid lose last night to Levante, Simeone's side have widened the gap at the top of the table to 10 points, and still have a game to complete.
