Thanks to a double from star striker Luis Suárez, the Spanish top soccer club Atlético Madrid has further expanded its lead in the Primera División.
Coach Diego Simeone's team won 4-2 (2-1) at FC Cadiz and now has ten points more than city rivals and record champions Real Madrid, who also have one more game to play.
Suárez (28th / 50th, penalty kick) with his 13th and 14th goals of the season, Saul Niguez (44th) and Koke (88th) scored for Atlético, who celebrated their eighth win in a row in the league.
Former Spanish international Alvaro Negredo (35/79) scored the goals for Cadiz.
Real Madrid had to admit defeat on Saturday in a duel with ninth place, Levante UD, 1: 2 (1: 1) - despite an early lead, and also due to an even earlier red card.
In the Spanish championship race, Real already only has outsider chances.
