It is a weighty support for Noël Le Graët in the election for the head of the French football federation on March 13.
The president of the League of Paris-Ile-de-France Jamel Sandjak will, in fact, be present on the list of the outgoing president.
The latter will therefore be able to count on the 7% held by the League of Paris in the election.
The Breton is now the main favorite for a 4th term ahead of the other declared candidates, Frédéric Thiriez, the former president of the Professional Football League, and Michel Moulin, the businessman and former leader of Istres, of the Red Star or ephemeral PSG.
Jamel Sandjak (61) was reelected for the third time at the head of the Paris League on January 5 with 53.68% of the vote against his two opponents (Thierry Mercier and Eric Aderdor).
The former player from Noisy-le-Sec (National) had already actively participated in the last two elections for the presidency of the FFF.
In 2017, Sandjak was on the list of Jacques Rousselot, president of Nancy and main competitor of Noël le Graët.
In 2011, he also supported Fernand Duchaussoy against the ex-president of Guingamp.
After having fought him for the last ten years, he decides this time to support the outgoing president.
A rapprochement that dates from the period of the first confinement when Noël Le Graët had meant the end of the amateur championships.
"Today, he makes decisions in amateur football which turn out to be closer to my convictions," Sandjak told us a few months ago.
Today, he is part of his list and could make his entry into the FFF executive committee on March 13.
