The day after its unsuccessful call for tenders, the Professional Football League asked Mediapro to broadcast the eight Ligue 1 matches of the 24th day initially scheduled this weekend on its antennas.
Téléfoot the channel will therefore not stop broadcasting this Wednesday and its teams should still be on the bridge Saturday and Sunday.
However, doubt remains about the broadcast of the OM-PSG clasico this Sunday evening at 9 p.m.
Téléfoot could indeed give up its place if the League managed to contract with a new broadcaster capable of being operational before the end of the week.
Another scenario would be for Mediapro to co-broadcast the event with another channel, as was the case recently for the Champions Trophy.
On January 13, the League had indeed marketed this match between OM and PSG (2-1 victory for Parisians) and Canal + had broadcast the match on its antennas at the same time as Téléfoot the channel.
It is not said that such an option will not be retained again.
On Monday, Nicolas de Tavernost, the chairman of the M6 board of directors, had thus applied to broadcast the clasico "so as not to deprive the public of the OM-PSG match".
Still, M6 intends to broadcast the event for free, a service offer that the LFP does not seem ready to accept.
