Free since the termination agreement concluded with Paris in early December, the Spaniard is back in his favorite club, at home, in the Canaries

A last chance for Jesé?

Free from any contract since December and the termination agreement with PSG, the Spaniard was hired Monday evening by Las Palmas, the main club in the Canary Islands, Jesé's native region.

The former great hope of Spanish football, after five years of sporting failures, is trying to relaunch his career as he turns 28 in a few weeks.

He has already played for Las Palmas between January and June 2017, on loan from PSG.

“I'm super happy to be coming home,” the forward wrote on his social media Monday night.

“Jesé is a world-class player, that's his story,” explains the president of Las Palmas on local television.

His name resonates in the transfer window and he can play in many teams.

He had a concrete offer to sign in Saudi Arabia.

For him, the important thing is not to earn money, but to revive and focus on football.

In recent months, Jesé has appeared more regularly in the celebrity sections of the Spanish press for his appearances in reality TV shows and his tumultuous relationship with local starlet Aurah Ruiz.

His final appearance with PSG took place in Nîmes (4-0) on October 16, 2020. He then entered less than 10 minutes at the end of the match.

Purchased 25 million euros from Real Madrid in June 2016, Jesé has only accumulated 390 minutes of play and 2 goals in four and a half years of contract with PSG.

Paid 420,000 euros gross per month, he never managed to convince Unai Emery or Thomas Tuchel.

Over the same period, he had four loans (Las Palmas, Stoke City, Betis Sevilla, Sporting), also concluded by failures.

After Real Madrid and PSG, here is Jesé under contract with Las Palmas, tenth in the Spanish D2.

Brutal fall for a double winner of the Champions League (2014 and 2016).
