Guest of the France 2 Télématin program, Roxana Maracineanu, the Minister for Sports confirmed this Tuesday morning that the Six Nations Tournament would take place.

The interministerial crisis center (CIC) had already given the green light last Thursday, approving the “robust” health protocol put in place for the competition by the different federations making up the Six Nations Committee.

He had thus followed the Ministry of Sports which had judged the sanitary bubble, the multiplication of tests, every three days, and all the measures respected by the delegations compatible with the holding of the test.

"They will be exempt from septaine"

"The government made the decision that the Tournament would take place on the scheduled dates," said Roxana Maracineanu on France Télévisions.

The Blues, currently in preparation in Nice, will fly to Rome this Thursday where they will face Italy on Saturday.

They will travel to Ireland on Sunday February 14.

The main concerns were in the following matches: the receptions of Scotland on February 28, Wales on March 20, and the trip to England on March 13.

The measures introduced at the borders of Europe indeed impose "septaines", in addition to a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours, when one arrives or that one returns from the United Kingdom and, conversely, it is necessary respect a ten-day isolation when entering British soil from France.

Exemptions will be granted to avoid this isolation to players.

"They will be exempt from septaine," adds the minister.

All the measures observed, the bubble around the players, the tests every three days, allow this authorization.

Especially since Fabien Galthié has restricted the group to 31 players

(Editor's note: the coach of the Blues has closed his team, avoiding the back and forth of reinforcements in the middle of the week as was the case until then).
