Maccabi Haifa announced this morning (Wednesday) that midfielder Yuval Ashkenazi is suffering from a partial tear in the back thigh muscle west of the tendon.

Following the injury, Ashkenazi is expected to be absent from the pitches for about a month and a half.

"Yuval has begun a rehabilitation process together with the medical staff," the Greens said.

Inside, Nikita Rokavitsia may very soon be invited to the Australian national team squad after the fitness of the league's top scorer did not exactly disappear from the eyes of Australian national team coach Graham Arnold.

"Nikita is doing fantastic things this season," the coach said in a local interview, "he finished fourth in the player of the year in Asia, we're crazy if we ignore him. I watch his games every week and he has a coach and style that suits him especially.

"The reason why he reached this level is because of maturity and experience. Today when he gets half a chance in front of goal he is calm and just finishes it. He has been playing for Maccabi Haifa for several years and has become a legend there. He is a quiet guy, a great guy. And we are determined to return to the staff. "
