The Ayalon police have filed prosecutor's statements against the two suspects in placing the grenade in the house of a noble family in Holon, but the court seems to see the evidentiary basis so far as insufficient to reach a conviction for the offense of "laying explosives."
The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court judge explained that there was indeed clear evidence of threats of extortion by threats, but that it did not establish that the two suspects had placed the stun grenade in the family home. Others who tie the suspects to the laying of the grenade.
The lawyers of the suspects, Roi Keren and Avichai Hajabi, continue to claim even now that there is no connection between them and the laying of the stun grenade.
The two estimate that even if an indictment is filed on suspicion of laying explosives, the court will not convict the suspects in the act.
The third suspect arrested in the case is not currently connected to the grenade incident but to assisting the suspects in the commission of the offenses.
