Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden knew they were facing a test - and pounced on him with all their might.
Brooklyn met the Los Angeles Clippers last night (Wednesday), two days after suffering a very embarrassing loss to weak Washington, and the Nets stars knew it was a challenge for them, facing one of the strongest teams in the league, which was until tonight with the best balance in the league.
It ended in an impressive 120-112 victory for Brooklyn over Kwai Leonard and his teammates, with the three stars making an impressive statistical contribution: Irving scored 39 points, Durant 28, Harden 23 (and a triple-double that included 14 assists), and more - all three scored all points during a 0 run : 13 crucial in the final quarter, which showed Brooklyn's offensive talent and how hard it is sometimes for an opponent to know who to focus on.
"They're just hard," Paul George said of them, "it's hard to keep them."
"We just gave a job tonight," Irving said at the end, "we knew they were going to go with all their might, so it was an exciting game. It was a great match for the best players in the world, some of the best players there are playing against each other."
Indeed, on the other side Kwai Leonard scored 33 points and Paul George added 26, but the Clippers (6:16) have given up overall for the second time in their last 12 games.
After the game, George also admitted: "It was a fun match-up. I look forward to doing it again in front of them."

Although the Nets averaged 120 points, it was evident that Brooklyn was playing decisively on defense, after the big criticism it suffered in the last two days after absorbing nearly 150 points from weak Washington, in a game that threatened to turn the Nets into one of the weakest defenses in history.
James Harden added that "once we get on the track defensively, we can dismantle rivalry. Because offensively, we'll get over it again. Defensively we have to resolve it. That's what needs to happen for us to play to the end.
Irving also admitted that this is what the team focused on after the loss to Washington: "Like I said that day, I felt I was unable to maintain anything - and I took it personally."
However, Paul George at the end complained about the attitude from the referees, after going through the penalty line only once throughout the game - even though he played aggressively.
"I think it's disrespectful that I only had one shot attempt from the penalty line tonight," said George, whose team went to the line 17 times in total compared to Brooklyn's 26, "I do not intend to expand ... with the number of times I made contact And I penetrated the basket, and was sent to the line only once ... ".
