Wow.
Hapoel Haifa defeated Hapoel Jerusalem 99: 101 tonight (Thursday) in the best game seen this season in Israel and one of the best in recent years.
The team from Carmel is the pleasant surprise of the season without a doubt and Keenan Evans is the player of the season so far.
Almost three-quarters of Jerusalemites led with only Amit Simhon leaving the hosts in the game.
In the last ten minutes the whole show belonged to Evans who kept, penetrated, delivered and mostly scored (22 points), including a tremendous three about six seconds to go.
It was an excellent offensive play by Jerusalem, especially by Malcolm Hill who is starting to justify the huge expectations that were pinned on him at the start of the season, but on defense she just didn’t show up. Chris Kramer still had a chance to eliminate some of the problems, but he missed a three on the buzzer and Dainius Adumatis suffered a first league loss.
