A great honor for Ronja Hark: The ice hockey player from Hohenfurch has been appointed to the women's national team.

Several test matches against Switzerland are soon on the program.

Hohenfurch - Good news for Ronjka Hark: The 18-year-old ice hockey player from Hohenfurch is part of the German women's national team, which will be playing several test matches in Switzerland from February 11 to 13.

If Hark is used, it would be her first adult game in the national team.

In addition to the defender, strikers Jule Schiefer (19 / ERC Ingolstadt) and Annabella Sterzik (17 / Eisbären Juniors Berlin) are among the debutants in the team.

The most experienced players in the line-up for the test series are Andrea Lanzl (324 internationals) from ERC Ingolstadt and goalkeeper Jennifer Harß (204) from ECDC Memmingen.

Last Tuesday, Harß played in the major league against EC Peiting;

with Memmingen she won in penalty shooting.

Strict corona protocol during the test game phase

According to an announcement, the DEB team will meet in Füssen on February 9th and will travel to Romanshorn in Switzerland the following day.

Before leaving, the players as well as the coaching and support staff around Christian Künast and Franziska Busch must first undergo a quick test and then a PCR test.

The members of the traveling group remain in their rooms until the results of the PCR test are received.

Games against the Swiss women's team are on the program in Romanshorn on February 11, 12 and 13.

The games are played without an audience.

Both national associations “reserve the right to react flexibly to current developments in the corona situation”, according to the DEB.

The DEB women played the last international matches to date in February 2020.

This season, due to the corona, there has only been the opportunity to attend various courses at the federal base.

Ronja Hark plays in the women's Bundesliga for ECDC Memmingen.

With the team, the defender reached the qualification for the final tournament for the DM title ahead of schedule.

In the fall, Hark had to take several weeks off because of an injury.

In January 2020, the Hohenfurcherin had a great success with the U18 national team: At the World Cup tournament of the IA Division in Füssen, the Germans took first place - thus making it into the top group.

The U18 world championship of the best teams, scheduled for January 2021, has been canceled due to Corona.
