Hapoel Holon announced this morning (Thursday) the signing of Stefanos Dadas for another season as the team coach and in fact to keep him at the club until the summer of 2022. The Greek coach (38) came to Holon last season and from the beginning of the year led the team to the Winner's Cup final. The champions and next week will play in the semi-finals of the State Cup.
As you may recall, immediately after the victory over Shula about two weeks ago and the promotion to the next stage in Europe, we announced that the Purples are interested in extending his contract for another season.
At the signing, Dadas Shalva was quoted as saying by his agent, Dubi Pick: "I am very happy to continue to be part of this amazing organization called Hapoel Holon until 2022. Without a doubt the main reason I signed last summer at the club was the expectation to experience great moments with our great fans. Winner, Final Four trophy, Champions League playoffs and many wins.
Unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to celebrate together until now so I can not leave this group before we celebrate all together.
I hope we have the opportunity, if not this season then surely next season.
I say once again that I am proud to lead this team on the field, I want to thank the management for trusting me and all the purple fans for their love and support. "
Club chairman Eitan Lanciano said: “We are very pleased that Stefanos continues with us for another season, he deserves to continue to chart the special path he started at the club.
"This is a first-rate coach who connected from the first moment perfectly to the club's DNA, built a team according to his method of play, a team that looks great and causes us a lot of fun and so do our fans."
