Tigress Unal of Mexico defeated South Korean Ulsan Hyundai with two goals to one in the second round of the FIFA Club World Cup today.
Ulsan Hyundai advanced in the 24th minute through its striker Ki Hee Kim to equalize Tigres Unal through Andre-Pierre Gignac in the 38th minute, and the same player returned in the 45th minute to score the second goal from the penalty spot and win for his team.
With this victory, Tigres Unal will face Brazilian club Palmeiras in the semi-final.
The Club World Cup has been held every year since 2005 with the participation of the six continents of the world’s champions, and it is held in a one-match knockout system.
