For the first time, a game was shown on the children's channel Nickelodeon, parallel to the broadcast on the rights holder CBS, the parent network of Nickelodeon.

Because the NFL has a problem.
Even in the US sports leagues, which is still the largest in terms of audience numbers and sales, there is a negative trend in audience ratings.
That doesn't stop before the Super Bowl, which celebrates its 55th anniversary on Sunday night (0.40 a.m., live ticker SPIEGEL.de; TV: ProSieben, Stream: Dazn).
Audience ratings are falling
The NFL final in the USA achieved record ratings almost every year; in 2015, around 114 million people tuned in on average - more than ever before.
Since then, however, the numbers have been falling almost every year: in 2020 there were »only« around 100 million people.
