The Nordic combined has not seen that for almost three years: a podium with exclusively German athletes.
For the first time since the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018, the combiners led by Vinzenz Geiger celebrated a triple success.
The last time there was a German triple success in the World Cup was in March 2017 in Trondheim.
Geiger prevailed on Saturday in Klingenthal after jumping off the large hill and the ten-kilometer run, although he was only 14th after the ski jumping.
Behind the 23-year-old violinist, Fabian Rießle and Eric Frenzel completed the podium.

"It was a perfect day for Team Germany," said Geiger: "I still had a bit of problems with the jumping, so I'm all the happier that it worked out." Geiger has been responsible for the six most recent individual victories of the German combined athletes since January 2019 World Cup responsible.
The national coach is enthusiastic
Rießle was 3.5 seconds behind and took third place in the sprint ahead of record world champion Frenzel (+3.6).
The fourth Olympic relay champion from Pyeongchang, Johannes Rydzek, also impressed in fifth (+5.8).
"I imagined that," said national coach Herrmann Weinbuch on ZDF.
“We wanted to take responsibility.
We put our stamp on the race right from the start. «The first individual victory in 2021 should also give the combined athletes confidence for the home World Cup in Oberstdorf (February 23 to March 7).
With their success, the German combined athletes also benefited from the fact that the World Cup leader Jarl-Magnus Riiber had not started.
Riiber is preparing for the World Cup in his homeland, Norway.
Riiber has already won seven races this season, and his third victory in the overall World Cup in a row is almost impossible to miss.
