The Dogues have two points ahead of Lyon, an easy winner of Strasbourg on Saturday (3-0) and three over Paris Saint-Germain, a scorer of Marseille in the Classic Sunday night (2-0).
OM stagnated in 9th place, 15 points now from 4th place occupied by Monaco but with two fewer matches.
At the bottom of the table, Nantes are now play-offs (18th), three points behind Lorient who remains in four matches without defeat including three wins.
