The handball Premier League returned to activity tonight (Monday), with the 12th and penultimate round games in the first round.
After almost a month and a half without games, the coming week (in which the 13th round will also be held on Friday) is expected to decide on the division of teams into the upper house and the lower house.
Tonight, four meetings were played (others were postponed due to verified Corona in the Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ness Ziona and Ashdod teams).
AS Ramat Hasharon recorded its 12th victory in perfect balance, finishing the first round in first place, and quite impressively after a 25:36 victory in Kiryat Ono (which lost a chance to qualify for the top house).
Urbani Rehovot, on the other hand, was close to achieving its first victory, after already leading by 6 goals against Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin, but suffered a loss 11 - 31:30 - and is still without points.
MK Yuvalim Holon recorded an impressive victory over Hapoel Rishon Lezion 23:25, which increases its chances of qualifying for the top house.
Maccabi Rishon Lezion achieved a 30:32 victory in Dimona, in a game that was advanced from the 13th round.
On Friday, 5 games are planned for the 13th round: Hapoel Rishon LeZion - Urbani Rehovot, Hapoel Ashdod - Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin - MK Beer Sheva, Bnei Herzliya - MK Holon, etc. Ness Ziona - Hapoel Kiryat Ono.
The rematch between Maccabi Dimona and MK Holon is scheduled for February 15 (next Monday) - a date when the postponed game between MK Beer Sheva and Hapoel Ashdod is planned.
