Danny Abdia and the Washington Wizards achieved an important victory tonight (Monday through Tuesday), after beating the Chicago Bulls 105-101 away at the end of a dramatic game.
The win came to Scott Bruce's side in time after two defeats to the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets, in what could buy the coach some more quiet in light of reports of his precarious status.
Abdia scored a third game in a row just 4 points (2/9 from the field).
However, the forward also dropped 10 rebounds and recorded three steals.
After two games in which he received only about a quarter of an hour, Abdia this time won 28 minutes from coach Brooks.
As for the game, Washington took the reins in the second quarter, after falling in the first quarter by a small lag of 25:27, and at halftime falling by a 48:58 advantage.
In the third quarter the Bulls recovered in the third quarter and towards the decisive 12 minutes they fell behind by only 83:78.
In the decisive seconds we got drama.
With a 103: 101 lag behind Chicago star Zac Lavin (35 points) missed a layup and missed an opportunity to send the game into overtime.
Washington went up 15: 6 while Chicago was 14: 9.
Bradley Bill excelled in the Wizards ranks with 35 points.
The Wizards' second star, Russell Westbrook, has been given a rest that, as Coach Brooks does when the team has games night after night.
The Wizards will return home after the away game tour and meet the Toronto Raptors on the night between Wednesday and Thursday (02:00 Israel time).
