Even in her wildest dreams, it is doubtful whether Atletico Madrid believed she would get this season what she gets from Luis Suarez.
Even in its biggest nightmares, it is doubtful that Barcelona believed the release of the veteran striker would affect it as it does: while the Catalan attack looks more anemic than ever, Suarez himself has scored 16 league goals in 17 games this season and no less - perhaps leading his new team to the championship.
The turnaround performance of the king of La Liga goals came this time against Salta Vigo, when he scored a double (45, 50) and equaled his goal count in Barcelona last season.
Last year he needed 28 games to score 16 goals, this time he needed only 17.
Unfortunately, Salta managed to equalize to 2: 2 in the 89th minute, and therefore the Colchoneros' advantage at the top is 8 points (and a game is missing).

"With Suarez on the pitch, it does not matter which method is used," Javier Garcia Matainas of the SS wrote.
"He's like a gunman from the Wild West, and every time he pulls out the gun, he stabs a bullet in the eyes of La Liga."
Diego Simeone, who saw his team record its best season opener since 2013/14 (then won the championship), with 16 wins in the first 20 games, concluded: "In the second half we improved and the method changed a bit, we held the ball more. We will try to continue on our way. "Suarez? What can we say about him? To say Luis Suarez is like a synonym for the gate."
Coca added: "We knew at home we had to win, but during the last they equalized. We did not feel comfortable in the first half, we allow the rivals to win in the first minutes and need to fix it, need to learn to make sure it does not happen. There are very good staff here and prepare for these moments, "We need everyone. It's getting complicated with the Corona. Are we favorites? We try to think only about the day-to-day, because that's what brought us here."
