The Grand Slam in which Rafael Nadal has won only once is the Australian Championship, where he lost no less than four times in the final.

Now the Spaniard wants to win the title again, for the first time since 2009, to overtake Roger Federer in the Grand Slam title table.

Nadal will meet in the second round the American Michael Moe, who made his way from the qualifiers and is ranked 177th in the world.

This will be the first meeting between the two ever and they will lock up the day of games at the main court.

Daniel Medvedev has reached the quarterfinals in Melbourne in the last two years and has been stopped twice at this stage.

Now the great Russian wants to go further.

He opened the tournament with a pretty relaxed win over Vasek Pospicil in the first round and now Roberto Carbayeis of Spain, who is ranked 99th in the world, is waiting for him.

His big break in the Grand Slam tournaments was made by Stefanos Tsitsipas when he advanced to the semi-finals of the 2019 Australian Championships.

Since then he has also reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros last year and now he wants to replicate that achievement in Melbourne.

Tsitsipas will play in the second round against Australian Thanasi Kokinakis (267), who was previously considered a great talent but has suffered serious injuries and is now starting to get back to business.

Other games:

Andrei Rublev (7, Russia) - Thiago Monteiro (Brazil)

The number one ranked and the greatest hope of the Australians, Ashley Barty, passed the first round in a light walk with 0: 6, 0: 6 against Montenegro Denka Kovinic when she lost only 10 points.

Now waiting for the Australian Barty derby against Daria Gavrilova, who looked not bad in the first round but is only in 387th place after not playing for a long time.

This will be the fifth meeting between the two as Barty holds a 1: 3 balance and is a favorite to win this time as well.

One of the most intriguing games, which will be held in the morning, Israel Time, will bring together the fifth-ranked Alina Svitolina and the American Corey.

The 16-year-old tennis player, who reached the quarter-finals in Melbourne last year (her record achievement with Wimbledon 2019 so far), will try to surprise the 26-year-old Ukrainian, who has twice reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The reigning and ranked champion Sophia Kanin will play against the veteran Kia Kanfi.
