The veteran coach, who has not coached a team since 1993, surprisingly signed about a month and a half ago, but did not win his eight games and Antoine Comboara will likely be appointed in his place.

Nearly nine years after their last encounter in League 1, the two teams that once fought together at the top of French football competed in the Cup and Marseille took advantage of the encounter to recover after a streak of failures in the league.
Auxerre, who hopes to rise at the end of the season, left many of her squad players out and eventually succumbed to a shot by Dario Benedetto (54) and a goal in a burst from 20-year-old Amado Dying who made his debut in the Marseille uniform (90 + 2).

The daily surprise in the Cup came from the Garonne River derby, when the descending Toulouse won in Bordeaux for the first time since January 2014 and ousted Jean-Louis Gasse from the Cup.
