The semi-finals of the State Cup will start tomorrow (Thursday, 18:30, live broadcast on Sport 5) in a game in which Hapoel Jerusalem, the cup holder from the last two years, and Maccabi Rishon Lezion will meet.

The two teams have met eight times before in the State Cup, with the balance standing at 3: 5 in favor of Jerusalem, which has won the last three meetings.

This season the two met only in the Balkan league, with each team winning in the home court of its rival.

Hapoel Jerusalem will hold its concluding training in the afternoon at the arena in the capital, as has been the custom in recent years, and tomorrow morning will make its way to the center with the players resting before the game in the village of Maccabiah in Ramat Gan.

Jerusalem will appear in the game without Chris Kramer, who is suffering from a tear in his meniscus and will be absent in the near future, but at the same time will return to the activity of Jacoben Brown, who was absent from the game against Gilboa / Galil due to a stomach upset.

Jerusalem hopes to be able to put the bad period they have been going through for the past month and a half behind them and qualify for the finals for the third time in a row.

Just like Hapoel Jerusalem, Maccabi Rishon Lezion is coming to the game in the midst of a very bad period.

Guy Goodes' team has won only once in the last five games, recording three home losses, and was defeated in the last away game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

If the bad period and the desire for change are not enough, in training yesterday Noam Dovrat injured his ankle, and in Rishon Lezion it is difficult to assess whether he will be able to play.

Despite this, Dovrat participated in parts of the training before Jerusalem.

"It's going to be a tough game, an aggressive game, we know each other very well and have played against each other several times already this season," Rishon Lezion captain Daryl Monroe said ahead of the game, "Whoever wins is the one who wants this game more, it's not just Tactical, it's who wants more gold in these 40 minutes. The budgets do not change, there should be better in this game, the relegation games are special. I like it, I consider myself a player of great games, in one game everything can be, should "Just come and play. As captain I need to take more on myself, but it should be a team thing, if we are all given 10 percent more, we will be fine."
