Real Madrid announced today that its Brazilian player, Marcelo da Silva, will be absent from matches for three weeks due to injury.
The club stated in a statement on its official website that Marcelo suffered a left leg injury during his team's match against Getafe last Tuesday, which ended with two goals to none in the Spanish Football League.
Real Madrid are second in the Spanish League table with 46 points.
