Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski was named the best player in the 17th edition of the Club World Cup.
Lewandowski lifted the World Cup’s Golden Ball for the best player after he led his Bavarian team to the title for the second time in its history after beating Tigres Unal of Mexico in the final with a free goal.
Lewandowski, winner of the best player in the world award for 2020 presented by FIFA, scored two goals against Al-Ahly in the semi-finals of the World Cup, in addition to his great contribution to the goal scored by his French colleague Benjamin Pavard in the final.
Veteran Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac, Tigres player, won the Silver Ball as the second best player in Mundia after scoring three goals that led his team to become the first club from the North American and Central American and Caribbean Confederation "CONCACAF" to reach the final match in the World Cup, knowing that he also won the title of top scorer.
And Joshua Kimmic, player of the Bavarian team, lifted the bronze World Cup ball as the third best player in the tournament.
