Neymar will not play the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Barcelona next Tuesday at the Camp Nou.
PSG reported on Thursday that the player suffers a grade 2 injury to the adductors, which will keep him out for about a month.
The attacker could reach the return match in Paris on March 10, although his presence for that match will depend on the progress of the injury.
This absence joins the Di María in the Parisian team, which will not dress short at the Barça stadium either.
The Brazilian retired this Wednesday to the locker room at a quarter of an hour into the second half of the thirty-second match of the French Cup against Caen after the tackle suffered by Yago.
The PSG player limped away shortly afterwards and was later caught leaving the stadium also with clear signs of pain.
The sensations were not good from the first moment and this Thursday, in the medical tests, the absence of the attacker in the European duel against Barcelona was confirmed.
This absence is yet another for Neymar in the decisive duels of the Champions League.
In 2017/18, after playing the first leg of the round of 16 against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, he missed the second leg at the Parque de los Príncipes due to physical problems.
And the following season he did not play either of the two duels against Manchester United.
In both qualifying rounds, PSG was eliminated and was left out in the first few changes of its great sporting and economic objective, the Champions League.
Now he is left without his expected return to the Camp Nou, where he left for 222 million euros in the summer of 2017 and where he has aspired to return as a Barça player, as he confessed.
