Operation Grand Slam Tel Aviv: Leasing 4 aircraft, insulation in a hotel and distribution to capsules

A complex operation to produce the tournament that will be held in Israel in the shadow of the Corona: about 500 athletes are expected to come and train in a special layout.

The Israeli Judo Association, the Ministry of Sports, the World Judo Association and Comtech are producing a complex operation for the Tel Aviv Grand Slam that will take place next week.

About 500 athletes from around the world are expected to arrive for the competition, and in order to hold the competition safely, four planes have been leased that will reach two major airports in Europe to which (Istanbul and Paris) judoka from around the world will arrive.

Even before boarding a plane in the country of origin, athletes and coaches will be asked to present two negative corona tests.

Flights to Israel will depart from Paris and Istanbul, with only Grand Slam participants on the planes.

Upon arrival in Israel, the participants will perform another corona test and enter the isolation room in the hotel, from which they will not be allowed to leave until the test result is received.

Transportation will be dedicated transportation with a disinfection team that will disinfect the buses after each ride.

After receiving a negative result, they will be allowed to leave the room, but not the hotel, which will be hermetically closed for entry and exit.

The hotel itself will also be divided into capsules and floors, without mixing the capsules, each of which will stay separately, eat separately and be on separate shuttles.

In the hall itself, the care for the capsules continues, entry from different areas, disinfection teams for the designated transportation, disinfection team for mattresses in both the hall and the hotel.

The movement of participants is restricted only between the hotel and the hall and by organized transportation only, so that participants can not walk around outside the hotel or the competition hall, or be in contact with people outside the competition circle.

A training complex will be set up in the hotel itself, where the athletes will be able to train only in a 1x1 layout with pre-scheduling, with training between the training sessions.
