Following the injury of Nikita Rokavitsia, Maccabi Haifa announced the return of Muhammad Awad.
The 23-year-old striker, who was loaned to Lech Poznan in the summer, finished his career with the Polish team and re-agreed at the club where he grew up, in an attempt to help the table leader maintain first place and finally win the championship.
"Awad, who passed on loan to Polish side Poznan at the beginning of the season, is returning to Maccabi Haifa, as agreed between the two clubs," reads the official website of Maccabi Haifa.
"Awad landed in Israel and will join the group."

Awad, who joined the senior team at Maccabi Haifa in 2016, scored a total of ten league goals in the green uniform.
His peak season was 2018/19, so he provided seven league goals and four assists.
During the summer, in search of more playing minutes, he signed for another three years and was loaned to Lech Poznan, but this season he found the net only once in the Polish league.
