Abu Dhabi - SANA
The Syrian Athletics National Team for Special Sports won two silver medals at the opening of the Fazza International Championship currently held in the United Arab Emirates (the last qualifying phase for Paralympic Tokyo).
The two silver medals were scored by Muhammad Khaled Muhammad in the pétanque competition and Abdel Hakim al-Bakr in the discus competition, after registering a number of 33.35 meters, which is a personal and new Syrian number in this competition.
It is noteworthy that the organizing committee of the tournament decided to cancel the coronation ceremonies for the winners, as one of the precautionary measures to address the Corona pandemic, as the medals are sent to the winners at their residence.
