FC Bayern Munich apparently have to do without Thomas Müller in the final of the Club World Cup tonight.

As several media, including BR and Kicker, unanimously reported, the 31-year-old tested positive for the corona virus shortly before the game against the Mexican club Tigres UANL (7 p.m.) in Doha, Qatar.

FC Bayern and the world football association Fifa did not initially confirm the case.

It was also unclear whether the game could take place or whether other players were affected.

Müller was in the semifinals against Al Ahly (2-0) on the field, on Wednesday he was still training with the team.

Most recently, the Munich players Javi Martínez and Leon Goretzka tested positive.
