Coach Christian Streich has renewed his contract with SC Freiburg.
The current longest-serving coach in the Bundesliga will start his eleventh season as the club's coach from this summer.
As usual, the Freiburg company did not announce how long the new contract would run.
So far, the 55-year-old prank had usually signed for a year.
His original contract would have expired at the end of the season.
»I am pleased with the recognition and trust that our work has been shown.
The cooperation includes all the requirements that are important to continue on the path we have chosen, ”said Streich, who has been the head coach of the sports club for a little over nine years.
In December 2011 he took over the job from Marcus Sorg.
»We continue to feel great desire to walk together.
The togetherness is simply constructive, «said sports director Jochen Saier.
Streich has been working in the association since 1995.
