The EC Peiting will face ECDC Memmingen and EV Lindau in the upcoming league games.

Two teams with which coach Sebastian Buchwieser has a special relationship.

Peiting - Eight games within two and a half weeks are behind EC Peiting in the Oberliga Süd.

The short break with the two days off last Monday and Tuesday was therefore very welcome.

"It did the players good," said ECP coach Sebastian Buchwieser after the last tight program, in which his team did not increase their account exorbitantly with eleven points from eight games, but on the other hand did not disappoint either there was nothing to complain about in the most recent battles against the two top teams from Selb (1-0 after extra time) and in Rosenheim (2-4).

Now two opponents are waiting, who rank behind the Peitingern in the table.

"With a view to the direct play-off qualification, we should score points", demands Buchwieser before the guest appearance on Friday at the bottom of the table, the ECDC Memmingen, and the home game on Sunday against EV Lindau (5pm).

"Both teams come through the strong collective", Buchwieser noted a match among the upcoming opponents.

During the game, the friendship with Coach Waßmiller is suspended

In addition, they are united by the income from their most recent guest performance in Peiting.

Lindau won 2-1 after Christmas, Memmingen won 5-4 ten days ago after a penalty shootout - which Buchwieser still worries.

"We were actually the better team there," he judged after the lost duel against coach Sergej Waßmiller's team, with whom he has been friends since the time together in Schweinfurt.

"During the game, however, this friendship rests," said Buchwieser, who is looking forward to talking to Waßmiller after the game.

Its team experienced a pitch-black last third against Passau last Sunday.

Despite a 6: 1 lead, the Memminger had to admit defeat 6: 7 in the end.

"They'll want to make up for something," speculates Buchwieser, who expects an opponent with a lot of anger in his stomach.

Buchwieser has also been busy with Sunday's opponent Lindau.

As a coach, he managed to move up from the Bayern League to the Oberliga with the "Islanders" in the 2015/16 season.

Since then, the team has changed fundamentally in terms of personnel.

"None of my team at the time is there now," said Buchwieser.

The best scorer among the "Islanders", who finished eighth with the same points quotient as the ECP, is Daniel Schwamberger (25 points), who also scored the decisive goal for Lindau's 2-1 victory in the first leg in Peiting.

"Against both teams we have to show a focused and disciplined performance in order to score," clarifies Buchwieser.

In terms of personnel, things are looking better again than last weekend.

Martin Mazanec, who was missing against Rosenheim, and Ty Morris, who had a longer break, are back on board.

Only defender Dennis Neal is missing from the regular cast.
