When Oded Katash signed for Panathinaikos, he reached an agreement with the club's heads to miss the Euroleague duo in Russia next week - in order to be available for the Israeli team in the last window of the European Championship qualifiers.

But following the eruption of the corona in the group, the collision was spared him.

In the past week, ten carriers have been discovered in Pao (seven players and three team members), and its activities have been suspended.

The Greeks were scheduled to host Zenit St. Petersburg this coming Wednesday for a rematch from the sixth round, and 48 hours later to also meet CSKA Moscow - and today (Friday) the Euroleague announced the postponement of both games.

Katsch will arrive in Israel and join the team ahead of the departure on Monday for the games bubble in Romania.

Israel has already secured its place in EuroBasket 2022, but the two remaining rounds will have significance regarding its ranking in the house stage draw.

On Thursday it will play against Romania and next Sunday against Spain.

It is not inconceivable that these will be the last games of the coach in office.

Panathinaikos ceased operations a week ago, following the big foreign victory over Olympiacos.

Her league game against PAOK Thessaloniki was initially postponed, and later the meeting with Peristri in the Greek Cup quarter-finals was also canceled.

If the Greens cross that hurdle, they will face off in the semi-final against Lavrio, who surprised AEK Athens for the second time this season.

The alternative date for the final, which was supposed to take place in the first place this coming Sunday, will be determined later.
