In an away game and against the weak Bromwich Albion, Manchester United lost two critical points tonight (Sunday) in a very disappointing 1-1, a result that allowed the hated rival Manchester City to open a gap of seven points at the top.
Ambai Dian put the hosts ahead in the third minute, but Bruno Fernandez equalized in the 45th minute and a Harry Maguire strike in overtime went to the crossbar.

"It's one of those days we weren't there," Solskjaer said after the disappointing draw, "We should have played better, but we started very badly. We had a lot of time to recover, but we couldn't build momentum."
The Norwegian coach referred to the fight for the championship title and said that his team should not have been in this fight at all: "We should not have talked about it at all. I should give compliments to my players about the position they are in now".
But Solshiar nevertheless provided a mini-statement when he said: "We (City) cannot let them escape. We will play against them soon. We will not give up so quickly."
Bromwich Albion coach Sam Allardyce said: "We had enough chances to take three points. The sad thing is that Diane could have scored a hat-trick. It could have been great for him. I'm happy with our performance and the team's tactical standing."
