Iranian judoka Said Moulay is scheduled to land in Israel tonight (Sunday) for a historic visit ahead of the Grand Slam judo competition, which will be held from Thursday to Saturday at the Drive-in Hall in Tel Aviv.
Since this is a visit with such a high profile and due to the sensitivity of the incident, various government ministries are involved in the expected arrival and Moulay is expected to receive close security upon landing in the country.
It is not inconceivable that the judoka who decided to leave Iran to move to live in Germany and compete under the Mongolian flag, will be escorted directly from the plane press to the hotel in Tel Aviv where the 450 athletes from the 65 countries will compete.
