LE SCAN SPORT - The Juventus Turin striker now has more than 500 million subscribers on the various social media platforms. A popularity that the billionaire uses as a formidable cash machine.

Cristiano Ronaldo not only collects performances on the field with the strength of my calves alone.

Popularity, income: outside the lawns, the Portuguese also steals record after record.

The Juventus Turin striker has written a new page in sport business by becoming in recent days the first personality, all activities combined, to cross the bar of 500 million subscribers on social networks.

He has 262 million subscribers on Instagram (out of 1 billion monthly active users), 91 million on Twitter and 148 million on Facebook, or 501 million fans around the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo very far ahead of Messi and Neymar

"CR7" is therefore an industry on its own which far outclasses other football superstars since Messi (who does not have a Twitter account), does not even reach 300 million (285 million in total).

Neymar completes the top three with 268 million fans.

This n ° 1 position allows Cristiano Ronaldo, who is not necessarily a very assiduous contributor to social networks, to garner colossal advertising revenues.

The young billionaire has also been drawing for a few seasons almost as much in remuneration from his advertising contracts as from that which links him to Juventus Turin (until June 2022).

Each sponsored post on social networks is valued at 757,000 euros

According to Forbes magazine, of the 93 million euros raised in 2019, the colt of the influential and essential agent Jorge Mendes received 53 million thanks to his mega contract with the "Old Lady".

A hoard to which were added 40M € of various ancillary commitments.

Everything that “CR7” touches turns to precious metal on social networks.

HQ Hooper, a company specializing in the evaluation and monetization of audiences on social networks estimates that each post sponsored by it allows it to pocket 757,000 euros in 2019, almost three times more than LeBron James (261,000 euros), the icon of the NBA.

And as long as the Portuguese swells the ranks of his digital army, the inflation of the figures is not about to fall again.
