Title holder Alexis Pinturault was once again impressive by securing the second fastest time in the super-G combined at the World Alpine Skiing in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy) on Monday, placing himself ideally before the slalom round.
Super-G bronze medalist on Thursday, Pinturault even allowed himself to beat the double world champion in speed (downhill and super-G) Vincent Kriechmayr of 22/100 (3rd) and the other Austrian Matthias Mayer of 24 / 100 (4th).
Sensation, the Canadian James Crawford, a speed specialist who started with the number 32, nabbed him the first place for 08/100.
“It's a nice super-G, I tried to attack, the snow was pretty easy,” explained Pinturault.

Other favorites have indeed managed an excellent super-G, in particular the best slalomer in the world at present, the Austrian Marco Schwarz, 5th at 40 / 100th, or the Swiss Loïc Meillard, 6th at 43 / 100th.
Victor Muffat-Jeandet and Nils Allègre missed their round, they are 24th at 2 seconds and 27th at 2 seconds 09. The slalom is scheduled for 3.20 pm, just after that of the women.
