When it is in one of its most difficult periods in recent years, Liverpool will meet Leipzig tomorrow (Tuesday, 22:00, 5+) in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
The match will take place at Puskas Arena due to a ban on English entry into Germany due to the Corona virus and the British mutation.
The Premier League champions surrendered on Saturday to Leicester 3: 1 and recorded their third consecutive loss for the first time since November 2014. Apart from the professional ability, their coach Jürgen Klopp is facing a difficult period in person after his mother passed away.
Today, he has made it clear that he is strong enough to deal with the difficulty.
"I do not need a break. The last thing I want to do is talk here about personal things," the German said.
"It's a difficult time and of course things affect us, but no one has to worry about me. My beard is getting more and more gray. I don't sleep much, but I'm full of energy.
On the German side, the energies are much better.
Leipzig is in second place in the Bundesliga and wants to recreate the achievement from last year when it reached the semi-finals and surrendered to PSG.
Coach Julian Naglesman said ahead of tomorrow's meeting: "They are somewhat favorites thanks to their experience in Europe, but we have made great progress in the last two years. Liverpool have not won in 5 of their last 7 games, but at the same time, fitness in the league will not affect tomorrow "They came out of the championship race in England and will therefore be 100 percent focused in the Champions League and in tomorrow's game. A lot will depend on which day the teams are caught."
