Scott Miller, a former Olympic swimmer, was arrested yesterday (Monday) in Australia after police allegedly found drugs worth $ 2 million hidden in his home.
Miller, 45, was arrested in a raid on his home in Sydney, and is suspected of operating a drug syndicate that distributed the Australian drug "Ace".
The raid on his home also found 1.5 pounds of heroin, other drugs and $ 75,000 in cash.
Miller won a silver medal in the 100m butterfly at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and added another bronze medal with the Australian Apostles ointment in the 4x100. In 1999 he made headlines again thanks to his marriage to Charlotte Dawson, who was a star in New Zealand and a fashion star, a popular TV woman who hosted and starred in a number of reality shows.
Their marriage survived only one year, and a few years later she was found dead, after a long struggle with depression.
A week after her death, Miller appeared on the program "60 Minutes", told about his mental problems, and even admitted that he also suffers from depression and drug addiction, which ruined his life.
The police said after the arrest and seizure of the drugs: "On the face of it they looked like ordinary candles, but they were not wrapped in odors, but in death and anguish. They were supposed to spread death and disasters to the district, and we are glad to announce that we caught them."
