Hapoel Beer Sheva announced tonight (Tuesday) the signing of forward Nick Hornsby (25, 2.01) on a long-term contract. Hornsby, a 2017 Sacramento State University graduate, averaged 11.3 points and 8 rebounds in his final college season.



Hornsby began his European career with the German Gissen, averaging 12.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists during the season. For the past two seasons, he has starred for Bayer Leverkusen in the German sub-league, averaging 14.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season, winning the forward title this season.



Tomer Yaron, general manager of the club: "We made a strategic decision during a tight game schedule to add another foreign player to the squad who can add to the future, Nick is a special and talented player who can play in several positions and we have no doubt he can help us a lot, wish him success."
