A member of the staff of the Blues tested positive for Covid-19. There is suspicion for Fabien Galthié.

The Covid-19 invites itself into the bubble of the XV of France.

The French Rugby Federation (FFR) announced on Tuesday, February 16 that the PCR tests carried out the day before had detected a positive case among the management of the Blues, currently meeting in their training center in Marcoussis.

A staff member whose identity has not been filtered.

The French coach, Fabien Galthié, is considered "a suspicious and unproven case" and will submit to a test again this Tuesday morning.

“In accordance with the health protocol, all the members of the team and the management were isolated this morning.

Interactions are limited to the maximum, explains the FFR press release.

An additional test carried out at the National Rugby Center will be carried out on Wednesday morning for the entire selection.

"

Family days off not called into question

This positive case was detected the day after the victorious trip of the Blues to Ireland (15-13) on Sunday, their second success in as many matches in the Six Nations Tournament.

It also occurs at a time when the Blues, who have been living in isolation since the start of their internship in Nice at the end of January, must benefit from four days of rest, from Thursday to Sunday, where they can find their loved ones.

A break, during which they must not go to their club, which is not called into question for the moment.

"Tests will be carried out at home on Friday, as well as on Sunday evening at the National Rugby Center during the rally," explains the FFR.

The list of 31 players to prepare for Scotland's reception on February 28 is due to be announced on Wednesday evening.
